Learn how school psychologists can promote seven habits of highly effective schools for school change. School change should be long lasting and sustainable, and it’s important for school personnel to think about developing habits rather than making short-term changes. The seven habits that will be presented have a foundation in research and range from identifying the schools’ bright spots to defining a systems problem to running effective meetings. The implementation of these habits will promote a healthy school culture and a highly effective school.

    Learner Objectives:

This session will help participants to:

    1. Identify the seven habits of highly effective schools.
    2. Describe the elements of effective school meetings and how data can be used for change.
    3. Develop a written implementation plan to sustain change.
1 Documented CPD Credits/Hours   NASP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
