    Through the use of direct instruction and discussion of applied principles, this session will focus on the best practices of assessment with bilingual populations. In particular, the session will emphasize addressing the common pitfalls and challenges in assessing bilingual students while presenting best practices. This session is sponsored by the Convention Committee.

    Learner Objectives:
    This session will help participants
    1. understand and apply the multifaceted components involved in assessing bilingualstudents to increase participants’ cultural competence,
    2. understand the common pitfalls and misconceptions in assessing bilingual students, and
    3. identify best practices when assessing bilingual students. 



    1.25 Documented CPD Credits/Hours   NASP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists.
