Current Issues in Law Affecting the Practice of School Psychology
Learn to incorporate the laws, regulations, and legal decisions associated with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act in your daily practice of school psychology and develop strategies to minimize litigation.
Learner Objectives: This session will help participants: 1. access, review, and incorporate the laws, regulations, and legal decisions affecting culturally responsive special education services within the public-school setting. 2. discuss the recent and relevant law, regulations, and legal decisions affecting many common special education issues within the school setting. 3. develop strategies to minimize the risk of exposure to litigation associated with a special education program within the public-school setting.
1.5 Documented CPD Credits/Hours NASP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
