    This webinar will explore how school psychologists can broaden their roles to deliver more comprehensive services that address the diverse needs of students, staff, and the wider school community. Presenters will share insights from the Appoquinimink School District, which earned the highest level of distinction through the Excellence in School Psychological Services (ESPS) recognition. The application process for the ESPS served as a fidelity check and road map for implementing an expansive model aligned with the NASP Practice Model. Participants will increase their holistic approach to service delivery to foster a supportive environment conducive to academic, social, and emotional growth. In addition, participants will learn strategies for a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach to their role as a school psychologists, to achieve work–life balance.
     
    Learner Objectives
     
    This session will help participants:
    1. Apply strategies to promote implementation of the NASP Practice Model in their school. 
    2. Describe how expanding the role of school psychologists aligns with diversity, equity, and inclusion principles and how the NASP Practice Model and ESPS recognition process can serve as tools to foster an inclusive school climate. 
    3. Develop strategies for maintaining work–life balance by empowering multidisciplinary teams to take a collaborative approach within a multitiered system of support, ensuring that expanding the scope of school psychological services is both manageable and sustainable for practitioners.
    1 Documented CPD/CE Credits/Hours   NASP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content. NASP is a Washington Clock Hours Approved Provider.
