Technology is embedded in every school psychologist’s day-to-day work. It is vital that we have the competence to evaluate innovative technology as it becomes available and to use it effectively (NASP, 2020). Shiny new technologies seem to come on the market daily, but unfortunately, many of these have no empirical research to support their use. And, even though we know this is not best practice, the decision to use (or not to use) a technology may be influenced by fancy packaging or word of mouth.
