This Documented Session includes the use of lecture-based learning and case study review to demonstrate how school psychologists can provide culturally responsive behavioral and mental health services for school-age youth.This session is sponsored by the Convention Committee.
Learner Objectives:
This session will help participants:
understand the historical contributors to marginalized students’ mental and behavioral healthoutcomes;
identify healing- and liberation-centered practices that can be embedded in behavioral and mental health services; and
learn to apply healingand liberation-centered practices in their professional services.
