With healing-centered approaches, school psychologists can develop practices that affirm students’ identities, empower students to be agents in restoring their own well-being, and correct unjust practices marginalizing some students.
Learning Objectives:
This session will help participants

Explain the difference between coping and healing;
Describe the relationship between oppression and traumatic stress;
Apply social justice principles to engage in healing-centered school psychology practice.
