    The purpose of this documented session is to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills to support transgender and gender-diverse students in schools. Areas to be addressed include systems-level strategies and individual support plans. Learning will be supported through direct instruction, large- and small-group interaction, and resource sharing. This session is sponsored by the Convention Committee.

    Learner Objectives:
    This session will help participants
    1. describe gender-diverse students and their needs in schools, 
    2.  access tools they can use not only to assess a system’s readiness to accommodate gender-diverse students but also to determine the support and transition needs of  individual gender-diverse youth, and 
    3. enhance or develop strategies participants can use to support gender-diverse students and to improve school climate as it pertains to gender diversity.
    1.25 Documented CPD Credits/Hours   NASP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content. NASP is a Washington Clock Hours Approved Provider.
