The NASP Ethical Principles (2010) will be used to illustrate our ethical responsibilities to all parties involved in any clinical case. Case examples will illustrate why the question, "Who is the Client?" can be misleading about our ethical responsibilities in certain contexts and in certain types of cases.

    Learner Objectives
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
    1. Explain why "Who is the Client?" can be the wrong ethical question
    2. Describe the importance of clarifying professional responsibilities to all parties
    3. Use case examples to illustrate the importance of informed consent about limits of confidentiality, especially in "multiple party" cases.
