Social justice can be a nebulous concept. Some may feel comfortable with the term, while others struggle with integrating this concept into their professional practice. Using NASP resources, this session will provide practical suggestions for embedding a social justice paradigm into school psychological services for students, families, schools, and communities. Learner Objectives: This session will help participants 1. describe social justice and understand why it is meaningful to the equitable practice of school psychology; 2. describe the social justice implications related to various areas of school psychology practice, such as prevention, intervention, counseling, and assessment; and 3. infuse social justice principles into policy decisions to meet the needs of marginalized groups.
