The ever-changing U.S. population indicates a continued need for culturally responsive practices in school psychology. This webinar will provide an overview of how school psychologists can best support students from diverse backgrounds by incorporating culturally sensitive strategies when interacting with multicultural families throughout the evaluation process. School psychologists will learn ways to encourage parent and teach buy-in through effective communication, increase intervention fidelity of academic interventions, and make evidence-based recommendations using a multicultural lens.
    Learner Objectives:
    Participants will be able to:
    1. Identify two ways to improve communication with parents regarding the evaluation process.
    2. Help multicultural parents understand academic recommendations based on the assessment results.
    3. Incorporate culturally sensitive strategies to increase the fidelity of academic interventions.
1 Documented CPD Credits/Hours   NASP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
