    Description:
Considering the vast breadth of the NASP Practice Model, it is understandable that few school psychology graduate programs have the opportunity to thoroughly address how to support individuals with low incidence needs, such as low vision and blindness. Per 2021 data from the National Center for Educational Statistics (2022), students with visual impairments accounted for 0.5% of students served in special education. Join this webinar to learn best practices in gathering meaningful evaluation data to drive appropriate recommendations to support students’ independence and competency in the Expanded Core Curriculum, which is an educational and legal requirement.
    Learner Objectives:
    Participants will learn how to:
    1. Plan, administer, and interpret assessments of students with visual impairments.
    2. Assess aspects of the Expanded Core Curriculum.
    3. Use best practices for collaboration with teachers of students with visual impairments.
1 Documented CPD Credits/Hours   NASP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
