The Power of Resilience: Guidelines for School Psychologists in Difficult Times
Dr. Goldstein reviews the scientific evidence of resilience and will discuss relevant variables involving temperament, mindset, family, and professional relationships in shaping and reinforcing a resilient mindset. He will close with a set of guidelines to harness the power of resilience in shaping a stress-hardy mindset in our students and ourselves.
Learner Objectives: This session will help participants: 1. apply the scientific evidence of resilience and resilience strategies in working with students of all ages. 2. develop a set of strategies to better understand and evaluate behaviors associated with resilience in students of all ages. 3. begin to develop a set of guidelines, strategies and suggestions to foster resilience and a stress hardy mindset in all students.
