    This session will provide practical strategies for incorporating the principles of positive psychology into a strengths-based approach to the supervision of school psychologists. Lecture, case examples, and discussion will be used.

    Learner Objectives
    This session will help participants:

    • recognize that a strengths-based approach to supervision can support all supervisees, including those who are struggling to demonstrate competency and advanced trainees,
    • understand specific actions they can take and questions they can ask to incorporate a strengths-based approach into their supervision practice, and
    • use a strengths-based approach to practice culturally responsive supervision.
    1.25 Documented CPD/CE Credits/Hours   NASP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content. NASP is a Washington Clock Hours Approved Provider.
