Nonsuicidal Self Injury: Protective Factors and Interventions
This webinar will provide participants with practical strategies to address nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) at their school sites. The presenter will provide background information on NSSI, including the definition, prevalence, and function of the behavior. Discussion will then turn to practical, research-based tools and protocols participants can apply to prevent and intervene with NSSI in the school setting.
Learner Objectives This session will help participants:
Identify risk factors and warning signs of nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI).
Describe preventive mental health practices to protect against NSSI.
Apply research-based intervention for individuals who self-harm.
