    This webinar will provide participants with practical strategies to address nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI) at their school sites. The presenter will provide background information on NSSI, including the definition, prevalence, and function of the behavior. Discussion will then turn to practical, research-based tools and protocols participants can apply to prevent and intervene with NSSI in the school setting.
     
    Learner Objectives
     
    This session will help participants:
    1. Identify risk factors and warning signs of nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI). 
    2. Describe preventive mental health practices to protect against NSSI.
    3. Apply research-based intervention for individuals who self-harm. 
    1 Documented CPD/CE Credits/Hours   NASP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. NASP maintains responsibility for this program and its content. NASP is a Washington Clock Hours Approved Provider.
