Children succeed when they are supported by nurturing relationships with adults and peers, and when they are coached in self-regulation and personal autonomy. This presentation will describe the relevance of these contexts for creating the schools and classrooms that maximize children’s active engagement in learning and strengthen their personal, academic, and social development.
Learner Objectives:
At the completion of this webinar, participants will:
1. Know the features of learning environments that actively engage students in learning
2. Understand the evidence that these contexts relate to student academic, social, and behavioral success
3. Know at least two strategies for strengthening these learning contexts
