This workshop teaches how to assess the impairment from bipolar disorder in elementary-, middle school–, and high school–age youths, and then map this information onto treatment strategies.
Upon completion of this program, participants should be able to:
- Use a “levels of treatment” model that includes strategies for prevention, early intervention, active therapy, and maintenance.
- Adapt cognitive-behavioral, family, and psychoeducational intervention skills for use with bipolar disorder.
