This workshop will present the components of a school neuropsychological model that can be used to guide case conceptualization, targeted assessment, and linkage to evidence-based interventions across all school-age levels.

    Learner Objectives:

Upon completing this session, participants will be able to identify:

•The key broad processing areas included in the school neuropsychological model,

•Some second order subclassifications included in the model,

•Some current tests designed to measure the narrow and broad processing areas within the model, and

•How the model can be applied to an actual case study from case conceptualization to evidence-based interventions.

This model develops the basic components which I have learned to be most helpful in learning 'what is it with this kid?' - David (South Portland, ME)

Dan Miller's introduction to his seminal work is excellent. In this short workshop he managed to give an overview of key information which, in my opinion, should be a part of every school psychologist's education/training. In this age of biology and following the decade of the brain in the 90s Dan's work is much needed if the field is to continue to be an important force in education! - Donna (Winter Park, FL)
Resources suggested were extremely helpful - Sheila (Hillsdale, NJ)
Interesting. Applicable. Amazing. - Shane (Waialua, HI)
